More sunflowers, one of my favorites to paint, nodding towards the sun.
I used an interesting technique to capture the "grid" look of the head of the sunflower by painting over gauze with dark paint then letting it dry. Upon removing the gauze, the paint has flowed into the gauze lines and formed a very realistic dark grid pattern on the painting. If you click on the picture of the painting, you can see a larger version of it and might be able to see the texture lines.
