Here is a fun quick sepia portrait by pastel artist, Rita Kirkman from New Braunfels, Texas. Rita draws portraits at the San Antonio Rodeo yearly and we caught her there this past Saturday and she captured our beautiful daughter in law, Brandy, and our handsome older son, Grant, so well.
This coming weekend I am attending a pastel workshop put on by Rita Kirkman in Rockdale, Texas. This will be the 3rd workshop of Rita's that I have attended and she is a great teacher. This workshop focuses on under-painting in watercolor/oil for the pastel painting. Never done that before so I am really looking forward to this workshop, I always learn so much from Rita.
