Here are the two Memphis watercolors -Sun Records and the downtown Memphis trolleys. These have been mounted on board and sprayed with fixative so they can be displayed in a frame and not have glass over them.

Cropped Seagulls
I cropped out the upper seagulls that were in the original photograph and watercolor at the upper right hand corner and the balance is better in this piece. Also lightened the water just a bit as I wanted it to be a very atmospheric painting.
Finished Fish
Here is the finished fish in watercolor. It will now be the base of a weaving piece. I will paint another background watercolor and weave strips of it into this watercolor. I'll post the finished product later!

Sun Studio Memphis
Sun Studio in downtown Memphis. It is an unusual brick building in a triangular shape. We toured the recording studio on a recent visit to Memphis - the sky promised snow which came the next day and caused some interesting highlights and shadows. This is on Arches 140 paper and I will use it in the "glass-less" project for Kathy Summers art class. We seal watercolor onto art board with gel medium then spray Krylon over it when it is completely dry. It seals the watercolor which may then be framed with out using glass.
Feeding Sea Gulls
Here is an atmospheric watercolor on Arches 140 paper of Robert feeding seagulls at Port Aransas last summer. The water and sky were fairly vividly blue but I wanted to paint a fairly low key painting with subtle details.
Downtown Trolley
This is a watercolor of the Memphis Mainstreet Trolley in downtown Memphis. These are very picturesque and give a great tour of the downtown area. This I struggled with, too much detail to capture well in watercolor (for me anyway) but I promised to put in the good, bad and ugly so here is the bad and ugly! A nice highlight of downtown Memphis though.
